A very up-to-the-minute novel with the taboo-busting confidence of modern horror's finest, delivered with the blissful pace of a techno-thriller...
SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS DEAD.
When she woke up in the hospital, she could barely remember getting on the flight, let alone the terrorist bomb of which she was the only survivor.
But she can hear the voices in her head, for they are the spirits of the dead passengers. They cannot rest until they have delivered their terrifying message: the terrorists know she survived.
And they're coming for her!

Susan Gardner miraculously survives a terrorist bombing of her plane, waking in the hospital a month later with no memory of who she is or how she got there. The FBI who question her know more about her than she does. She soon discovers a psychic ability to revisit the doomed plane in her head and communicate with the deceased passengers. One of the passengers even warns her about an imminent attack, which she avoids by fleeing with her FBI agent. As her psychic connection with the passengers grows, she realizes who she used to be, and the reader starts questioning who the real villains and heroes are. As Gardner's adventures continue, above and below the streets of Chicago, her command of her powers increases as well. But as the web of deception and betrayal unravels, the book lurches to an ambiguous conclusion that could portend an equally confusing sequel.
